ExaGrid Appoints Charles Lenis VP of Worldwide Sales; Lenis to Help Drive Company Sales with Focus on Customer and Partner Relations
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- June 13, 2006 -- ExaGrid Systems, Inc., the leader in Intelligent Disk-based Data Protection(TM), today announced that Charles Lenis has joined the company as vice president of worldwide sales. In this position, Lenis will apply his extensive experience in sales, operations and management to oversee the company's sales team.
ExaGrid's turnkey disk-based backup system is the premier solution for mid-market and small enterprise companies looking to quickly and cost-effectively eliminate the hassles of tape backup while reducing their existing backup windows.

Lenis has more than 25 years of sales, operations and general management experience. Most recently, he was vice president of worldwide sales at Marathon Technologies, where he increased revenue more than 80 percent and increased channel partners 800 percent. Prior to that, Lenis was vice president of sales at Broadwing Communications (acquired by C-III Communications), where he led the Service Provider Sales Group. He also served as vice president of worldwide sales at PixStream Systems, a leading content delivery systems vendor (acquired by Cisco) and vice president of worldwide sales at PakNetX, an early stage IP switching, e-commerce company (acquired by Aspect Communications). Lenis also held senior sales management positions at IBM and Siemens. Lenis earned his BS degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MBA degree from Suffolk University, Boston.
