Japan's Citizen Watch develops Bluetooth enabled wristwatch

(Asia In Focus Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)TOKYO, June 8 Asia in Focus - Japan's CITIZEN WATCH CO. (TSE:7762) has developed the world's first wristwatch that can interface with a cellular phone to indicate when a call is being received, a convenience when the owner is in a meeting or on the move. Using the Bluetooth protocol for short-distance wireless communications, the watch vibrates and lights up when a call is received and displays the party's name and number, provided that the data has already been transferred to its memory from the phone.

* It also has button operations to put the caller on hold or disconnect.

* The watch comes with a charger stand and features a display that can be seen in the dark without a backlight.
