TagWorld Announces TagWorld Widgets -- Take Anywhere Web Applications for Social Networks; Next Generation Social Networking Site is First to Provide Open Platform for Third Party Developers

SANTA MONICA, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- June 2, 2006 -- TagWorld, the leading next generation social networking site, today announced the launch of TagWorld Widgets -- dynamic, customizable mini-applications that can deliver a variety of rich media and personalized information such as games, media players, content, news, weather and video. TagWorld widgets are available on TagWorldWidgets.com (http://www.tagworldwidgets.com), where users can simply cut and paste them into TagWorld as well as other social networking and blogging sites like MySpace, Friendster and Xanga.

Created in response to demand from users, web developers and affinity groups, TagWorld is the first social network to provide an open API (application programming interface) that gives third party developers and content providers the ability to deliver compelling content and applications to their users.

"We believe that this is an important first step in creating a truly open platform for building social networking applications," said Fred Krueger, CEO, TagWorld. "By opening our API, and giving developers the tools to easily extend the functionality of TagWorld, we continue the push to deliver valuable and compelling content and application to our growing user base."

Each TagWorld Widget comes with a set of customizable properties that allow individual users to personalize them. Properties such as colors and fonts can easily be modified by even novice users. TagWorld Widgets can also securely access properties and media assets, such as photographs, blogs, music and other content stored on TagWorld or other sites and blogs. For example, the Photo Album Widget can take a picture collection from your TagWorld account and make them available on any website. Properties of the Slideshow Widget such as speed or transitions can be modified by the user on the fly, without having to go back to their TagWorld site.

Because widgets are based on standard web technologies such as Macromedia Flash and XML, it's easy for third party developers to create new widgets that users can easily add to TagWorld and other blogging and social networking sites. These widgets can then be shared with other users by simply clicking a Share button, allowing them to spread virally. TagWorld widgets leverage Macromedia Flash technology and can also easily be integrated with other Flash technologies such as Macromedia Flex and the Macromedia Flash Media Server to build rich media, video or collaborative applications.

"Social networking has reached the mainstream, and has driven a revolution in the way we communicate, learn and connect with other people," said Todd Hay, director of platform marketing and developer relations at Adobe. "By building on Flash, TagWorld is providing a way for developers to deliver rich and compelling Internet applications that accelerate the adoption and impact of social networks."

To support the independent developer community, TagWorld has also made available information on building widgets and source code examples, as well as other documentation, which developers can use and build upon to create their own widgets. These developer resources are accessible through the TagWorld Widgets site (www.tagworldwidgets.com).
