Liz'll Fix It For You!(Coventry Evening Telegraph Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Summer is just around the corner and it's set to be a special one for BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. It is 12 months since the pioneering radio station opened the doors of its prestigious new home in the heart of Coventry, heralding its return as a major stand-alone radio service last autumn. Housed in state-of-the-art studios in the award-winning Priory Place development, the new-look station is going from strength to strength. With an impressive line-up of presenters, it delivers lively, engaging and entertaining speech-led broadcasting for people of all ages and walks of life. Incorporating the latest digital technology, the bright and airy studios are designed to make the public feel welcome and involved. Passers-by can watch presenters on-air, relax with a coffee and make use of the huge range of services on offer in the interactive Open Centre. Station Editor David Clargo says: "We're the first BBC Local Radio station to be launched for 15 years' it's an exciting, buzzing place. One of our strengths is our ability to run campaigns and we now aim to build on these by developing the editorial content further and winning even more new listeners." To mark its success, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire is taking a very special show on the road. Over the next few weeks, Breakfast Show presenter Liz Kershaw will be going out and about with a campaign aimed at the people who matter most: The listeners. Regular fans will know that former Radio One DJ Liz is the smiling Rochdale lass who has made her home in the Midlands and is always ready for a challenge, whether it's helping residents fighting to keep a school open, highlighting local injustices or simply giving callers the benefit of her wisdom on any issue. Now, giving the hit BBC TV show of yesteryear Jim'll Fix It, a brand new, contemporary radio spin, her latest campaign, Liz'll Fix It, gives people a one-off chance to achieve longed-for wishes. Taking part is easy. Check out the details on-air or log onto the website and come along to the Liz'll Fix It show at the West Orchards Shopping Centre next Wednesday 17th May.
