China Encourages Taiwan Firms to List on Mainland Stock Market
(SinoCast China Business Daily News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)SHANGHAI, April 25, SinoCast -- An official from China's Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council aired the authority encourages Taiwan companies to list on mainland stock market.
Meanwhile, some large companies from Taiwan like Want Want showed desire to go public on the mainland A-share market.
A former governmental official from Taiwan said the stock market in the mainland will be the most attractive one compared with that in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore if it can lower the listing threshold.
There are more than 68,000 Taiwan-funded companies in the mainland, and most of them, excluding over 3,000 Taiwan-listed firms, have strong demand for financing.
Now that the companies want to take root and grow in the mainland, they must understand local capital market and learn how to raise fund there. In the future, the companies from Taiwan will be a fresh force in the A-share market.
