Cgogo Addresses Asia 3G Summit for Mobile Media

BEIJING, April 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Cgogo Technology Co., Ltd. announced today that during the Asia 3G Summit 2006, in Shenzhen, Mr. Zhu Bo, CEO of Cgogo, addressed attendees for 20 minutes on the topic 'Mobile Media and 3G Content Services,' stating that ''mobile media increases the flow of information and mobile search tools will be the core applications of the 3G network.''

Industry vendors and experts were invited to attend the summit, including the Information Industry Bureau, Stated-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China Mobile and China Unicom, and was supported by Hunan Satellite TV.
The meeting surrounded 3G content strategies to discuss the industrial supervision, business mode between operators and SPs, development modes for value-added services, business design and promotion and cooperation for 3G packages. Furthermore, an authorized industrial-report was released.
Mr. Zhu indicated that currently colored screens and WAP functions were the popular characteristics of mobile phones, meaning that the mobile phone is more and more combined with the transfer of information than the standard talk functions. The first ever mobile media was founded after the Cgogo Mobile Search Engine was launched in 2004, and the China Media Innovation Ceremony awarded the '2005 Innovated Media' award to Cgogo.
Mr. Zhu said, ''As a rising media, mobile media has a lot of differences compared to more traditional media. For example, the terminal cost is not high with mobile media and users only need a mobile phone, which is able to surf WAP networks. For the new generation of mobile media, pointing transmissions and time-sharing coverage will be in the past. Users can explore real-time news worldwide via a mobile phone.''
On 3G content services, Mr. Zhu added that mobile search would become the core application for mobile data. The 3G content services will be based on the WAP network. Mobile search enterprises need to offer an engine different to the current search tools of Baidu and Google. In addition, this WAP search technique will operate independently with Internet search to provide particular information, entertainment, geography and picture searches. These kinds of search techniques will be integrated into the main search engine. Therefore, users need not worry about changing their search tools in order to find different information.
The two days also saw seminars like the 'Value-added Opener Seminar' and the 'Venture Investor Seminar' be held, with guests hotly discussing 3G business development and capital operations.
