Chemtura Appoints New General Manager for Urethanes

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. --(Business Wire)-- April 5, 2006 -- Chemtura Corporation (formed by Crompton and Great Lakes) has announced that Allen Julian has joined the company as General Manager for the Urethanes Business. Mr. Julian will report to Janet E. Mann, Vice President, Performance Specialties.



Prior to joining Chemtura, Mr. Julian was President of High Performance Associates, LLC, a consulting company he founded, which focused on business and marketing strategy as well as the creation of high-performing teams. Prior to founding High Performance Associates, Mr. Julian was General Manager of ICI Polyurethanes (later acquired by Huntsman) Flexible Urethanes business. He held a number of positions in process and production engineering, manufacturing, marketing, strategic planning and business management during his 23-year career at ICI/Huntsman.

Mr. Julian graduated from the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, and the University of Pennsylvania, where he received an MBA from the Wharton School.
