Jenzabar Enhances Web-Based Constituent Relationship Products; Expanded Functionality Benefits Student and Faculty Interaction

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- March 22, 2006 -- Jenzabar, Inc., the pioneer of Total Campus Management (TCM) for higher education, today released significant functional enhancements to its most widely adopted Constituent Relationship Modules (CRMs). These modules, delivered to institutional communities via Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution (JICS) Web portal, have been designed with considerable input from Jenzabar clients, ensuring that functionality matches institutional needs. Among the key areas addressed by these enhancements, student advising features have been augmented for both students and faculty. Students have greater online functionality to review course offerings, explore degree options and identify requirements, create progress reports, track financial aid and project grades. Faculty have increased ability to manage class lists and advisee rosters, establish textbook requirements linked to specific courses and sections, and more options for communicating with designated student groups.

Cardinal Stritch University, a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and graduate programs with approximately 7600 students located in Milwaukee, WI, is Wisconsin's second-largest independent university and was one of Jenzabar's Beta Partners in developing new portal and CRM functionality. "Jenzabar's CRMs project the value of using technology to our various constituent groups," said Sue Ingles, Manager of Enterprise Systems for Cardinal Stritch University. "They allow constituents to better manage their relationship with the institution and do it on their own terms. They also allow the institution to better manage its relationship to each individual constituent in a complementary way, removing some of the administrative burden from the relationship, which allows faculty, staff and administrators to focus on what's really important -- delivering a higher quality educational experience." Charles Collins, Web Developer for Cardinal Stritch University, said "the latest version of JICS is a big step in the right direction and provides significant improvements in usability for both users and administrators. Keep up the good work!"

Located in St. Paul MN, Luther Seminary is the largest seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Luther Seminary was another of Jenzabar's Beta Partners in the development process. "Jenzabar's portal product and Student and Faculty CRMs provide more than simple Web-based access to administrative and academic applications," said Scott Hample, Director of Administrative Computing for Luther Seminary. "The enhancements contained in this latest upgrade bring strong community-building capabilities to Luther Seminary."

Jenzabar offers seven CRMs for Candidates, Admissions Officers, Students, Faculty, Staff, Advancement Officers and Alumni. Each of these modules allows institutions to provide content specific to each constituent group along with access to relevant applications and data supported through the institution's administrative system. Together with Jenzabar's ERP systems, the CRMs and Web portal bring a comprehensive, completely integrated community management platform that leverages administrative data for more effective relationship management.

The JICS Web portal solves the challenges encountered by many institutions that have found themselves in the position of managing multiple connections to their constituencies. Often ERP and learning management system (LMS) implementations have resulted in the deployment of dissimilar and disconnected portals. Frequently candidates, students, faculty, staff, alumni and other stakeholders have to connect to disparate sites, separately, to get the information they need to pay bills, register for courses, check health benefits, oversee programs, learn about new developments, and interact with each other. JICS streamlines access to vital information relevant to individual constituents while reducing the administrative burden on the institution. JICS includes key features to deliver heightened security, role-specific content, customization and tight integration with administrative systems. JICS fulfills a primary objective for the higher education community: improving Web portal functionality to support institutional efforts to increase student retention and maintain lasting relationships with all key constituents.

"Good relationship management is primary to today's institution of higher education," said Robert A. Maginn, Jenzabar's Chairman and CEO. "Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution and Constituent Relationship Modules give our client institutions a superior set of tools to deliver constituent satisfaction and operational excellence, which in turn drives the achievement of institutional goals for enrollment, retention and advancement."

Built on the Microsoft(R) .NET platform, in accordance with industry-standard protocols, Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution takes the higher education institution's portal to a new level through interconnected Web services. Significantly, every user has the experience of accessing all portal-based applications from within an intuitive, uniform user interface. Additionally, JICS provides:

-- Secure, safe-guarded role-based access to institution-wide, mission-critical applications and data, with an unlimited number of roles;

-- Single sign-on to all applications presented within the portal, including non-Jenzabar applications; and

-- The ability to build custom portlets using Visual Studio.NET, accommodating development at all skill levels from HTML/CSS to VB.NET and C#.
