Select Energy wins fourth 2006 Azeri Light tender

March 10 (Interfax) - The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) awarded a tender for the fourth 2006 consignment of profitable Azeri Light crude oil to be produced at Azerbaijan's Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) fields to the German company Select Energy, a source at SOCAR told Interfax.

The consignment of 80,000 tonnes will be shipped from the port Batumi on March 31-April 1.

Select Energy bought the first two Azeri Light consignment this year and Vitol bought the third.


Switzerland's Glencore bought first and thirteenth
2005
consignments of Azeri Light. Arcadia bought the second,
sixth andfourteenth, UniPetrol bought the third, Total - the fourth and R-Trading -the fifth, and Select Energy - the seventh and eighth, Turkey's Tupras -the ninth, BP - the tenth and Select Energy - the eleventh and twelfth.

SOCAR has a 10% interest in the ACG project. Profitable oil is distributed among shareholders in proportion to their participation in the project.

include British Petroleum - 34.1367%, the U.S. companies
Unocal -10.2814%, ExxonMobil - 8.0006%, Devon Energy - 5.6262%, and Amerada Hess -2.7%, Japan's INPEX Corp - 10% and ITOCHU Oil - 3.9205%, Norway's Statoil - 8.5633%, and Turkey's TPAO - 6.75%. rd
