Lotus recalling some 300 cars in Japan+

(Japan Economic Newswire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)TOKYO, March 10_(Kyodo) _ LCI Ltd., the Japanese sales agent for Britain's Group Lotus PLC, is recalling 311 Lotus cars for replacement of defective shift levers in Japan, the transport ministry said Friday.



Subject to the recall are Elise 111R and Exige cars built between February 2004 and April 2005.

The shift levers bent in two cases and broke in one case, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said.
