Volvo Wins Duo Awards(Malaysian Business Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)VOLVO Car Malaysia Sdn Bhd (VCM) has clinched double awards at the New Straits Times - Mastercard Car of the Year Award 2005. The Volvo XC90 has been named `Premium SUV of the Year' for the third consecutive year, while the Volvo V50 T5 sportswagon won in the `Premium Family Car' category. Judged by senior automotive journalists from the Malaysian print media, the award honours vehicles that set new standards or become benchmarks in their class. Vehicles are judged based on general design, safety, comfort, ride and handling, performance, service and support, and price. How Wei Thing, managing director of VCM, said, `Winning these awards reinforces our ability to capture customers' wants, producing cars that are stylish, functional and safe in equal measures.' |
