RSA(R) Conference 2006 Draws 14,000+ for 15th Anniversary Event
SAN JOSE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Feb. 21, 2006 -- Keynotes, Panel Sessions and Special Events Spark Industry-Driving Discussions Among Information Security Professionals
After five program-packed days, RSA(R) Conference 2006, the world's leading information security conference and exposition, concluded in San Jose on Friday, February 17. The 15th Anniversary event, whose program included special events such as Keynote addresses, the Executive Security Action Forum (ESAF), Birds of a Feather sessions, Town Hall events, the Interactive Testing Challenge (ITC) and the Innovation Station program, was highly-successful, attracting more than 14,000 information security professionals.

Keynote Addresses
-- Noteworthy leaders including Bill Gates, chairman and chief software architect, Microsoft Corp.; Scott McNealy, chairman and CEO, Sun Microsystems, Inc., as well as John Chambers, president and CEO, Cisco Systems, Inc.; John Thompson, chairman and CEO, Symantec, and Art Coviello, CEO and president, RSA Security Inc. offered industry perspective and commentary on their company's overall security strategies during their keynote addresses.
Executive Security Action Forum (ESAF)
-- For the third year, the ESAF program brought C-level information security executives together for an afternoon of advanced discussions on pressing industry topics including The Value of Information Security, Identity Management, Risk Management and Emerging Threats.
Interactive Testing Challenge (ITC)
-- Throughout the week, attendees participated in this interactive challenge testing their skills at uncovering tricky web vulnerabilities. Facilitated by Dr. Herbert H. Thompson, chief security strategist of Security Innovation, the final "face off" determined that Ralf Hoelzer, CISSP, of Deloitte and Touche was the best vulnerability hunter at RSA Conference 2006.
Innovation Station 2006
-- Two emerging information security companies, Elemental Security, Inc. and Imperva, Inc., tied for the Innovation Station program's first place title "Most Innovative." The second place winners, Mazu Networks, a provider of behavior-based network security solutions, and third place winner, Tablus, Inc., a provider of content-protection solutions for enterprises, also impressed judges with their innovative products and services.
RSA Conference 2006 Awards
-- RSA Conference acknowledged three individuals for their exceptional contributions in the categories of Mathematics, Public Policy and Security Practices. The 2006 winners of the 9th Annual awards are Oded Goldreich of Weizmann Institute of Science, Ari Schwartz of the Center for Democracy & Technology, and Jack Jones for his work with Nationwide Insurance.
