(The Dominion Post in Morgantown (WV)(KRT) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Feb. 15--Sample dishes from
Pacific Rim at WVU dinner
WVU's annual International Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 26, in the WVU Mountainlair ballrooms.
This year's theme is the Pacific Rim. Among the dishes are a spicy beef dish from Korea; vegetarian dishes from Japan, Indonesia and China; appetizers from Vietnam and the Philippines; and a dessert from Australia.
The goal of the dinner and other activities organized by the International Student Organization is to promote understanding and diversity among all cultures.
Due to the popularity of the event, there will be six serving lines, and diners are welcome to serve themselves as soon as they arrive.
Tickets are $14 for adults; $8 for students and children over 7. Tickets may be purchased at the Office of International Students and Scholars in Elizabeth Moore Hall, or checks and money orders may be mailed to: OISS, Attn: Karen Bird, P.O. Box 6411, E. Moore Hall, Morgantown, WV 26506.
Beginning Thursday, tickets will also be sold by members of the International Student Organization in the Mountainlair.
