Norilsk Nickel to invest $50 mln in hydrogen energy(Interfax News Agency Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - MMC Norilsk Nickel (RTS: GMKN) will invest $50 million in the development of hydrogen energy and fuel cells this year, the company said in a brochure distributed at an innovation and ecology conference in Moscow. Norilsk said it would invest another $30 million in the creation of a national innovation and engineering center for hydrogen and renewable energy. Norilsk spent $40 million on science - $32 million of it in hydrogen technology and the rest on projects involving the use ofpalladium - in 2004. It invested $20 million in these projects in 2005.
