Ariba to Present at Leading BPO Conference; Recognized Leader in Procurement Business Process Outsourcing to Share Insights, Best Practices and Success Strategies at January 30 Event
SUNNYVALE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 26, 2006 -- Ariba(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:ARBA), the leading spend management solutions provider, today announced that Shahriar Broumand, vice president and general manager, Ariba Managed Procurement Services, will present at the IDC Outsourcing Forum (West) on Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Biltmore Hotel & Suites in Santa Clara, California.
Ariba was recently recognized among the leading providers in the procurement business process outsourcing (BPO) services market by IDC in a report titled "Vendor Needs and Strategies: Procurement BPO Competitive Landscape" (IDC #33947, September 2005). The company has more than 400 commodity experts and 700 spend management professionals across the globe who manage indirect procurement for some of the world's leading and largest companies, including Lucent Technologies and Harris Corporation.
Mr. Broumand will participate in a roundtable discussion during which he will share insights, best practices and success strategies aimed at helping companies understand how to design and execute effective outsourcing initiatives.
"Few companies have the resources, expertise or infrastructure to effectively manage their spend across all categories," Mr. Broumand said. "As a result, significant savings are often left on the table. Outsourcing the procurement of non-core categories is a viable way for companies to capture some of these savings and drive them to the bottom lines."
