VegaStream Expands North American Presence with Key Appointments; Award-winning VoIP Gateway Provider Appoints Industry Veterans to Management Team and is Aggressively Expanding Its U.S. Sales Force
LONDON & SAN DIEGO --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 12, 2005 -- Dedicated VoIP gateway manufacturer VegaStream today announced several key appointments to its U.S.-based team in order to meet the increasing demand for its award-winning line of analog and IP VoIP gateways.
In order to capture the growing demand for VoIP gateways in North America, VegaStream has appointed Robert Brakeman as VP Operations & General Manager, North America. In this role, Mr. Brakeman is responsible for VegaStream's day-to-day operations in North America. Most recently, Mr. Brakeman served as Director of Channel Development for AudioCodes and was responsible for developing and managing AudioCodes' channel program in North America.

Donald Krause, Director of Service Provider Sales of North America, will lead VegaStream's sales efforts targeting both incumbent carriers, as well as emerging VoIP-centric providers. With more than 17 years of telecommunications experience, Mr. Krause brings an unsurpassed breadth of knowledge in the IOC, CLEC, IXC and ISP space. Additionally, Ronald J. Bleakney Jr. has been appointed as Director of OEM and Major Account Sales for North America. Ron brings over fifteen years of professional, advanced technology sales experience to VegaStream with a proven track record for being a consistent top producer and team leader.

VegaStream has also expanded the range and reach of its San Diego headquarters by opening regional sales and business development offices in San Jose, Calif., Research Triangle Park, N.C., and Boston.
In other news, VegaStream also unveiled two additions to its product line: the Vega 5024 and Vega 5048 gateways, bringing the award-winning Vega 400 architecture into the VegaStream analog product line. Designed for enterprises looking to move efficiently and cost-effectively to IP networks, both the Vega 5024 and Vega 5048 gateways connect analog phone systems to an IP network, while providing two additional network-facing analog ports for connection to a telephone line or analog PBX.
