Dell CEO Kevin Rollins Opens Oklahoma City Customer Contact Center

--(Business Wire)-- Just 14 months after announcing plans to open a customer contact center in Oklahoma, Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) will officially open its Oklahoma City facility on September 12, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett will join Dell CEO Kevin Rollins for a grand opening ceremony at Dell's new facility located on a 60-acre site in Oklahoma City along the Oklahoma River.

The location of Dell's new Customer Contact Center is considered a boost to the Oklahoma City's empowerment zone as the Dell facility anchors the western portion of the riverfront development. In addition, the company announced a further expansion in Oklahoma City earlier this summer and construction has commenced on a second Dell building at the site.

The Dell business segments with Customer Contact Center staff in Oklahoma City now include the small-to-medium business segment, consumer business, as well as the addition of the public sector, corporate accounts and Dell service technicians and managers who provide technical resolutions to server and storage customers. The center currently employs more than 800 people. -0- *T Monday, September 12, 2005 When: 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. What: Facility tour for media only When: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. What: Grand Opening Ceremony Who: Kevin Rollins, Dell President and CEO Ro Parra, senior vice president, Dell Americas Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornell Where: Dell's Oklahoma City Facility, 3501 Southwest 15th Street Photo opportunities: -- Wheeler Elementary School presentation of a thank-you card to Dell executives -- Dell CEO Kevin Rollins recognizing Governor Henry and Mayor Cornett as honorary Dell employees Media Q&A Opportunity: -- Dell CEO Kevin Rollins and Governor Henry will be available for Q&A immediately following the ceremony. *T
