QRP Sending Help to Hurricane Katrina Victims

TUCSON, Ariz. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 7, 2005 -- As part of the huge national relief effort to aid Hurricane Katrina victims, a family-owned business in Tucson, AZ has pledged to contribute one dollar for each case of their products sold from Sept. 1 through the end of 2005.

According to Duncan Casselman, President of QRP Inc., the pledge could total tens of thousands of dollars for the relief effort. The funds will be donated through the American Red Cross.

Casselman said the company is attempting to help encourage small business to respond to the tremendous needs on the Gulf Coast. "In an area of devastation this great, it is going to take every company, both large and small, to make a difference in the lives of the hundreds of thousands of our neighbors in need in the Southeast," he said.

QRP manufactures more than 50 styles of specialized gloves used in businesses as diverse as chemical processing, scientific labs, food processing and electronics, including the "clean room" operations of many companies. QRP was founded in 1974 by William Casselman and continues as a family-run business operating throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
