Symantec Vice President of Technology to Give Keynote at Arizona State University Security Symposium
CUPERTINO, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 6, 2005 -- Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC), today announced that Rob Clyde, vice president of technology for Symantec's office of the CTO, will provide the keynote address at Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business Security Symposium. Clyde's address, entitled "Emerging Threats: A Challenge On All Fronts," is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. PDT at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center in Tempe, AZ.
Clyde's remarks will examine the evolving pressures on today's IT security network, emerging threats, present and future security solutions, and offer a perspective of the information security landscape moving forward.
The security symposium, entitled "Information Security In the Knowledge Economy," is hosted by the Center for Advancing Business Through Information Technology (CABIT). The Center, established in 2002 by Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business, serves as a self-sustaining catalyst for a research and education partnership that focuses on collaboration, innovation, incubation and technology transfer of knowledge management, and software service innovations in the e-business environment.
