TelTel Wins 2005 Best SIP-based Peer-to-Peer Solution and VoIP Service Provider Awards
-Recognized as "market-driving company" by Internet Telephony Magazine and International Packet Communications Consortium-
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2005--TelTel, a provider of SIP-based global Internet telephony with presence-enabled features, today announced that it has been chosen to receive both 2005 Best SIP-based Peer-to-Peer Solution and 2005 VoIP Service Provider Award by Internet Telephony Magazine and the International Packet Communications Consortium (IPCC). TelTel was hand-selected by the editorial staff of Internet Telephony and the IPCC as a truly market-driving company in promoting the growth of the VoIP and IP Telephony markets.
TelTel was awarded the 2005 Internet Telephony Best SIP-based Peer-to-Peer Solution and VoIP Service Provider award based on its SIP-based global Internet telephony for both consumers and service providers. TelTel recently launched its SIP Virtual Network Operators (SVNO) Program, which enables ISPs, ITSPs, CLECs, carriers and other service and content providers to immediately offer SIP-based telephony and multimedia services without having to build their own SIP infrastructure. Service providers have the option of offering customers co-branded and remote configurable SIP equipment such as IP phones, ATA and videophones.
TelTel's accomplishment will be published in the December issue of Internet Telephony Magazine and on TMCnet, TMC's communications and technology web site recognizing industry innovators that equip service providers to optimize operations and generate new revenues via differentiated services.
In its second year, the VoIP Service Provider Award is quickly becoming a standard for the industry, according to Internet Telephony Editorial Director, Greg Galitzine. "When we look back to these early days of packetized telephony and wonder who the pioneers were, I feel that this award will serve as a bookmark in communications history, chronicling the introduction and evolution of VoIP service providers to the world," he said.
"TelTel is pleased to have our contributions to VoIP recognized by such a well-respected publication," said Jack Chang, Chief Operating Officer of TelTel. "Our new role within the VoIP ecosystem allows us to work with service providers to help them offer their customers both VoIP and expanded services quickly."
