Senior Market Sales, Inc. and Insuractive, Inc. Merger Creates High-Tech Insurance Marketing Company
OMAHA, Neb. --(Business Wire)-- Oct. 12, 2005 -- Senior Market Sales, Inc. (SMS) and Insuractive, Inc. today announced they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to create a high-technology insurance marketing company with products geared to the senior market.
The merger was unanimously approved by both companies' senior management and creates a combined company with projected sales of $63 million in 2005. Keeping the name Senior Market Sales, Inc., the company will continue to provide independent insurance agents with insurance products from the nation's top-rated carriers, Internet marketing services and personal support from its call center in Omaha, Nebraska. Privately owned by Milton M. Kleinberg, Chairman and CEO, the company employs over 50 employees and serves over 12,000 insurance agents in all 50 states.
SMS has marketed insurance products including Medicare supplements, long-term care, life insurance and annuities for over 23 years. It recently added senior dental and travel insurance to the mix. Insuractive, Inc. in Alexandria, Virginia has provided Internet marketing and e-commerce solutions for SMS and the insurance industry since 1998. The two companies combined provide for an insurance brokerage with Internet development expertise and legal acumen to create a full service insurance e-commerce company servicing the entire lifecycle of the insurance sales and support process.
