Nearly 3,000 Xbox 360 Game Systems Available for Pre-Sale on eBay; Active Bidding Driving Prices Up
SAN JOSE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Nov. 21, 2005 -- Xbox 360 goes on sale tonight at midnight, and gamers are expected to be waiting in line to get them. But, as of this morning, nearly 3,000 of the hot new game consoles are currently available for pre-sale on eBay.
Over the past two weeks on eBay, nearly 9,000 Xbox 360 units have been pre-sold at an Average Sold Price of nearly $550, reflecting a frenzy of bidding. Many of the pre-sold units are bundled with game cartridges (retailing at $50-$60) and accessories.
These figures are compiled from eBay Marketplace Research, a new service that offers sellers and buyers visibility into important listing, bidding and pricing trends in the eBay marketplace.
