TiVo plans to allow unlimited TV-show downloads to iPods

(Wall Street US)TiVo Inc has announced plans to expand its digital video-recording service to facilitate the transfer of recorded television shows onto Apple Computer Inc's iPods. The personal television device and services firm said it will enhance its TiVoToGo portable media software to cater to iPod - even without tapping Apple Computer - and Sony Corp's PlayStation Portable mobile game device users. TiVo plans to launch the service by the first quarter of 2006, and impose a one-time fee of $15 to $30.
