FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and business, today announced the immediate availability of three new and exciting products that comprise a complete VoIP solution for small business. The D-Link xStack IP telephony solution for small business allows savvy business owners to reap the cost benefits and increased productivity of a VoIP telephone system without heavy investments in capital equipment, training, and dedicated personnel. D-Link xStack IP Telephony products are designed and engineered using industry standards and work with virtually all Internet Telephony Service Provider's (ITSP) networks.

The D-Link xStack IP Telephony solution for small business includes the full-featured SIP IP-PBX with Conferencing Server supporting up to 25 extensions (DVX-1000), the SIP Analog Trunk Gateway (DVG-3004S) for connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), and the IP Business Phone (DPH-140S).

"D-Link is pleased to provide small businesses with powerful, easy-to-implement IP telephony systems that change the cost model for their telephone services," said Steven Joe, president and CEO for D-Link. "The new VoIP solution offers our customer's substantial cost savings over traditional phone systems while enabling a range of productivity improvements through unified messaging and presence-based features."

"D-Link's VoIP offering for small business is a very compelling end-to-end IP telephony solution for the currently underserved 25 seat and less market," commented Norm Bogen, Director of Networking with In-Stat. "With D-Link's technical expertise, established channel, and strong focus on SMB, they are well positioned to challenge and win share in the small business IP telephony market."

The xStack IP Telephony DVX-1000 SIP IP-PBX with Conferencing Server offers all of the essential telephony features required for small businesses, like call forwarding, call hold, find me-follow me, and voicemail. The small form factor dual processor unit supports up to 25 extensions, which can be located anywhere Internet access is available. Conferencing, which is an expensive add-on to traditional phone systems, is included at no additional charge in the DVX-1000. The conferencing bridge enables user initiated conference scheduling and invitation via a web-based configuration interface.

The DVX-1000 can utilize standard phone lines via an external phone line gateway (like the DVG-3004S SIP Analog Trunk Gateway) or cost effective Internet telephony services. A built-in Web configuration tool allows administrators to assign each extension a feature profile that suits each individual's job function, and users can fine-tune their assigned profile via browser according to their preferences and work habits. Advanced security features protect the voice network from unauthorized access. To prevent hackers from breaching the system, the DVX-1000 uses MD5 SIP authentication encryption encoder software. The DVX-1000 also includes an integrated firewall for intrusion detection and protection against denial of service attacks.

The unit's compact housing can be easily fastened to closet walls or stacked with existing ethernet switches or PSTN gateways. The DVX-1000 SIP IP-PBX ships standard with a five-user license included. The low cost of entry licensing model allows for a pay-as-you-grow method for easy field upgrades up to a maximum of 25 users. The DVX-1000 SIP IP-PBX is the first in a family of xStack IP Telephony solutions and future additions of the product line will scale to support increased numbers of users.
The xStack IP Telephony DVG-3004S SIP Analog Trunk Gateway converges IP telephony systems with existing PSTN phone services. The DVG-3004S SIP Analog Trunk Gateway features four RJ-11 analog FXO ports for connecting to local PSTN phone lines and one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN port. In addition to providing gateway services to the PSTN for IP telephony systems, the versatile DVG-3004S SIP Analog Trunk Gateway can also be deployed to interconnect traditional PBX phone systems between remote locations over an IP network and bypassing the toll charges on the PSTN. When coupled with an IP-PBX like the DVX-1000, the DVG-3004S SIP Analog Gateway also allows IP telephony products to connect to inbound 800 phone numbers, and outbound 911 services. The DVG-3004S Analog Trunk Gateway features advanced Quality of Service (QoS) for clear call quality and built-in packet inspection that prevents network attacks.
The xStack IP Telephony DPH-140S SIP based Business IP Phones connect directly to an IP network and act like a traditional advanced desktop telephone. The DPH-140S Business IP Phone has quality of service functions that assign high-priority to voice packets, so users enjoy clear, high-quality voice communication in a variety of network conditions. Echo cancellation, voice activity detection/comfort noise generation, and adaptive jitter buffer also enhance call quality.
Each DPH-140S Business IP Phone includes an integrated speakerphone, as well as a 2.5" LCD screen that displays call information, such as dialed numbers, caller ID, and address book entries. Navigational menu keys make address book browsing easy, while 10 memory function keys provide instant access to frequently called numbers. The DPH-140S Business IP Phone also supports features such as redial, mute, transfer, voicemail LED, 3-way calling, call waiting, call forwarding, and hold.
