Airena Names Lee Llevano Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development

PLEASANT HILL, Calif., May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Airena Inc., an early stage technology startup, today announced that Lee Llevano has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development.
Mr. Llevano will focus on sales and strategic alliances for the company's AirSet service, currently in public beta at http://www.airset.com/ . AirSet is a personal organizer suite and network service for any Brew or Java-enabled mobile phone. It effectively transforms an ordinary mobile phone into a networked PDA, connecting a user's calendar, address book and to-do lists with those people that they designate.
Prior to joining Airena, Mr. Llevano was Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Visto Corporation, a leading provider of secure "push" mobile email solutions. He led his team in establishing the largest global footprint for "carrier branded" push email solutions -- reaching 19 countries on four continents -- through deals with Vodafone, Cingular, Nextel and Rogers Wireless and core strategic alliances with Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Palmone, PalmSource, Sony-Ericsson and Symbian.
Prior to Visto, Mr. Llevano was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Wireless Solutions for Critical Path, a messaging and collaboration solution provider. Previous to Critical Path, Llevano co-founded Geoworks, a pioneer in the smartphone and wireless data access markets.
"We are delighted to have Lee join us," said Airena CEO, Brian Dougherty. "He brings a proven track record of growing businesses and forging alliances. His breadth of experience and relationships within the telecom industry make him a powerful asset to our company."
The AirSet Mobile Client
The AirSet mobile client removes the fear of losing one's phone and all its phone numbers and other important data. Every user's calendar, address book, and to-do lists are backed up and automatically available on the AirSet website with no extra work or hassle.
The AirSet web service and synchronization to Microsoft Outlook on desktop PC's are free. Mobile phone access requires the download of an AirSet Brew or Java mobile client. Mobile access is free to trial for 30 days, and then requires a small monthly fee.
