Atul Jain Named Finalist For Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 Award

FAIRFAX, Va. --(Business Wire)-- May 17, 2005 -- Atul Jain, founder and CEO of TEOCO Corporation, was named a finalist by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) 2005 Awards in the Greater Washington Area. Jain was selected from sixty-three nominations in the Greater Washington Area by a panel of independent judges comprised of area business leaders. Award recipients will be announced at the awards banquet on June 23, 2005 at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, in McLean, Virginia.

Jain founded TEOCO to prove that a company could achieve financial success without compromising core values. TEOCO has achieved revenue growth every year and is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2005. The company has earned recognition as the premier provider of cost and revenue management solutions to the telecommunications industry and today serves five of the eight largest telecommunications providers in the U.S. TEOCO also runs Respond, an Internet-based business that connects consumers with service suppliers.

Prior to founding TEOCO, Jain had a successful career at TIBCO, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies to design and build state-of-the-art software solutions. His educational background includes graduating at the top of his class from the Indian Statistical Institute in Calcutta, and earning a M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

"I am truly honored to be named a finalist," said Jain. "This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of TEOCO's talented employees and the support of many mentors and well-wishers. To me, this recognition demonstrates that a business model based on Principled Entrepreneurship and employee ownership can serve as a solid foundation for long-term success."

The Greater Washington Area winners will be eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 national program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif. in November 2005.
