ActivePoint Selected By Large B2B Electronics e-Tailer For Context Search and Customer Sales Support
CableOrganizer Deploys ActivePoints TX5 Discovery Engine To Improve Online Sales Success
ActivePoint, the contextual natural language search and guidance engine that emulates the human thought process, announced that B2B online electronics supplier CableOrganizer has deployed ActivePoints TX5 Discovery Engine and interactive sales advisor to help customers find products with complex descriptions.
CableOrganizer uses the TX5 Discovery Engine to help customers find the correct computer rack, cabinet and enclosure on one of the more technical portions of the Web site. Using natural language typed into a chat box, customers can also further narrow a search by using ActivePoints guided assistance, which asks questions about whether the customer wants, for instance, a Plexiglas® or metal door and what size is required.
This is the first online search that I have seen that actually gives you usable information that is practical, instead of lists of possible answers mixed in with completely unrelated information, said CableOrganizer Senior Vice President Paul Holstein. The technology doesnt slow down our sites performance, its not intrusive, and for the customer its there if you want it, he added.
CableOrganizer has noticed that the ActivePoint solution encourages customer self-service by allowing the user to ask a lot of technical questions and thereby reducing the amount of time his staff has to spend on the phone.
When customers can get specific answers to their product-related questions, they are much more likely to buy it, said Moshe Ofer, CEO of ActivePoint. CableOrganizer is able to pinpoint what customers are looking for and reveal what they are most confused about on the site. Based on this feedback we can go into the TX5 Discovery Engine and adjust it by updating the answers and the guidance depending on what customers are asking, said Ofer.
The TX5 patented system is a powerful software solution that can automate an important part of the online selling process. Its uniqueness is that it has the ability to find products using ActivePoints natural language engine that incorporates contextual sentence understanding. This means that users can ask about products in plain English and expect to receive a pinpointed response. The TX5 Discovery Engine also makes use of specially formulated guidance engines that help direct the online customers towards the required information or products while simultaneously educating the customer about the product offerings. The natural language follows the interaction and is able to provide the user with pertinent information based on their previous choices.
