TCT WEST SELECTS ETI SOFTWARE, INC.’S TRIAD TO PROVISION FIBER-TO-THE-PREMISE SERVICESNEWS RELEASE Contact: Gary Hilson Sacke & Associates Inc. (416) 493-5723 ext. 203 [email protected] TCT WEST SELECTS ETI SOFTWARE, INC.’S TRIAD TO PROVISION FIBER-TO-THE-PREMISE SERVICES ~ Triad Will Enable TCT to Automate Provisioning FTTP Network, Set-top Controllers and Video-On-Demand Services ~ NORCROSS, GA – May 5, 2005 – TCT West (TCT) (www.tctwest.net), a provider of voice, video and data services to rural communities in the state of Wyoming, has selected Triad by ETI Software Solutions to automate the provisioning of its Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) network for the delivery of voice, video and data services. ETI (www.etisoftware.com) is a leading developer of service activation software automating FTTP, video, telephone and data services. TCT provides voice, video and data services to the Wyoming communities of Manderson, Basin, Greybull, Shell, Lovell, Cowley, Byron, Emblem, Burlington, Meeteetse, Deaver, Frannie and Otto, as well as voice and data services to Hyattville, Ten Sleep and Hamilton Dome. Prior to selecting Triad, TCT provisioned subscriber video services with ETI’s CableBridge. “Because of the reliability of ETI’s CableBridge and the company’s excellent customer service, upgrading to Triad was a logical next step,” says Rod Collingwood, Plant Operations & Video Manager for Tri County Telephone Association/TCT West. “Triad not only enables us to meet our immediate requirements to deploy and provision Fiber-to-the-Premise but also prepares us to deliver additional services as such as Video-On-Demand.” Triad provides “out-of-the-box” functionality to automate the complex provisioning processes for both active and passive FTTP technologies from a variety of vendors. ETI’s product automates activation of all service ports on the Optical Network Terminal (“ONT”), the termination point of the FTTP network at the customer’s service location. Additionally, Triad is able to automatically set the bandwidth (i.e., Quality of Service) for a given port so it matches the service level requested by the customer allowing providers to offer differentiated services at varying price points. Triad also supports the automatic discovery of new ONTs on the FTTP network and can automatically provision these auto-discovered devices in real-time. Since Triad also provisions video set–top boxes (RF or IP) and other “CPE” devices like its predecessor CableBridge, it eliminates multiple data entry points and the service errors and delays associated with manual “swivel chair” processes. “TCT is an excellent example of a forward-thinking service provider that understands the benefits our Triad solution,” says Peter M. Pifer, Chief Executive Officer, ETI. “Not only is TCT set to meet its immediate FTTP provisioning needs by deploying Triad, but it is strategically positioning itself to meet to future customer demands with the delivery of new services. Strategically, all of our customers are now well positioned to support a multitude of FTTP, video, data and voice service technologies by upgrading to this platform.” - end - About Enhanced Telecommunications, Inc. d/b/a/ ETI Software Solutions (www.etisoftware.com) ETI Software Solutions, Inc.
