Computer Associates Selected for Programmer's Paradise ''Riding the Crest'' Product Award


SHREWSBURY, N.J. --(Business Wire)-- March 29, 2005 -- Programmer's Paradise, Inc. (NASDAQ: PROG), a leading independent marketer of software tools for technology professionals, today announced the winners of its prestigious Riding the Crest Awards for 2004. The awards are given to the best-selling products at Programmer's Paradise within their respective categories for the previous calendar year.

The Riding the Crest Award for overall best-selling product at Programmer's Paradise was captured by CA AllFusion Data Modeler, software used to create and maintain databases, data warehouses, and enterprise data models.

VMware also captured the award for the best-selling operating system and utility product, VMware Workstation; and for the best-selling product for the Linux platform, VMware WorkStation for Linux. Both of these products allow developers to simultaneously develop, test and deploy software across multiple operating systems on a single workstation.

Coinciding with the increasing focus on 64-bit software development, Intel Software earned recognition for best-selling C++ development tools. Other prominent winners include Borland, Microsoft, Macrovision, Infragistics and Altova.
