Cummins MerCruiser Diesel Selects OutStart Proficiency Manager to Power Sales Performance

BOSTON --(Business Wire)-- March 28, 2005 --

Company to deploy online training to enhance product expertise within its global distribution channel

In a market faced with increasing product complexity, Cummins MerCruiser needed a way to quickly and effectively educate its partners. Historically, the company relied on face-to-face training at events and boat shows - an approach that was costly and failed to provide on-the-job access to critical information. Using OutStart Proficiency Manager, Cummins MerCruiser will develop training modules on new and existing products and make them immediately available through the Web.
