Gomez Announces Jill Smith as New CEO

Ms. Smith's deep experience leading high growth companies a critical asset for driving Gomez's corporate strategy of global market expansion and customer growth
Gomez, Inc., the Internet Performance Management Company, today announced the appointment of Jill Smith as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ms. Smith joins Gomez as the company is set to aggressively enter the next phase of its growth. With a history as the driving force behind the success of several high technology companies, Ms. Smith brings a blend of experience and leadership that aligns strongly with Gomez's business objectives.

Ms. Smith was most recently the President and CEO of eDial, a collaboration software company, where she successfully positioned and grew the organization, culminating in the company's acquisition by Alcatel, the global telecommunications giant. Before that, she was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Micron Electronics Inc., the $1.5 billion direct PC manufacturer and marketer. While at Micron, Ms. Smith drove the PC business to profitability and grew HostPro - Micron's award-winning hosting division - into the third largest company in its sector while positioning it for an IPO.
As CEO of SRDS, L.P., Ms. Smith successfully drove the private media publishing company to become an electronic publishing leader. She was also a Vice President at Bain & Company, the international consulting firm, where she led the development of value creation strategies for emerging businesses and leading global brands.
