Rimage Corporation Announces Affordable and Technologically Advanced Rimage 360i Desktop CD/DVD Publishing System
MINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- March 7, 2005 -- Features Lowest Lifetime Cost of Ownership, Easy Setup and Use, Intuitive Software and Small Physical Footprint
Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq:RIMG), the world's leading provider of recordable CD and DVD publishing systems, today announced that it will launch an important new addition to its Desktop product line, the Rimage 360i CD/DVD publishing system, at the CeBIT trade show in Hannover, Germany beginning on March 10, 2005. Initial shipments are expected to start in May 2005.
With a list price in the mid-$2,000 range, the Rimage 360i provides users with the lowest lifetime cost of ownership in the CD/DVD desktop publishing industry. Despite its highly affordable cost, which is expected to open a range of new markets requiring a low-volume, high-quality publishing solution, the Rimage 360i incorporates many features demanded by customers:
-- The Rimage 360i has the lowest cost of ownership in the industry based on a printed cost per disc.
-- Its Rimage-developed software is wizard-based, making operation intuitive and easy to use even for untrained users. Creating a disc with customized content and labeling on an on-demand basis requires only four clicks on the customer's keyboard.
-- The Rimage 360i is optimized for both CD and DVD recording. The new no-compromise CD/DVD recorder technology delivers best-in-class 16X DVD recording as well as top speed 48X CD recording. Users no longer have to choose between recorder types or suffer compromised performance. The Rimage 360i delivers maximized disc creation with both DVDs and CDs.
-- The Rimage 360i incorporates HP's most advanced thermal inkjet printer engine, resulting in vivid color, sharply-defined text and photo-realistic images at an economical cost.
-- As a true plug-and-play unit, the Rimage 360i is easy to setup and install.
-- The new product offering has a small physical footprint (H: 19", W: 15 1/4", D: 20"), making it ideal for desktop use or any location where space is limited. As an aesthetically pleasing product, it is designed to fit perfectly into any office environment.
Manny Almeida, executive vice president, commented: "The Rimage 360i is clearly a best in class product, given its low cost of ownership, intuitive software, overall ease of use and superior disc label print quality. These key features were developed by listening to the needs of customers and then applying our industry-leading core competencies in engineering and software development. The result is a totally new, technologically advanced CD/DVD publishing system that will, we believe, make the Rimage 360i the ideal solution for many lower volume market applications."
The Rimage 360i can be viewed and demonstrated at CeBIT Booth Number B38 in Hall 20, March 10-16, 2005.
