PAY1040.com Expands its Federal Tax Credit Card Payment Program to Include NEW Services that Provide Additional Convenience for Taxpayers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. --(Business Wire)-- March 1, 2005 -- For the third straight year taxpayers can use their VISA(R), American Express(R), Discover(R) or MasterCard(R) to pay federal taxes through www.pay1040.com or by calling 1-888-PAY1040. Taxpayers may make payments for Form 4868 Automatic Extension of Time to File a Return, Installment Agreement, Form 1040ES Estimated Tax, Form 1040 (including 1040A, 1040EZ) Balance Due Return, Balance Due Notice, or prior tax year payments. New in 2005, PAY1040.com(R) now offers the taxpayer the convenience of Auto Payments and Email Reminders.

A recent survey of taxpayers cited convenience and ease of use as their reasons for using PAY1040.com(R) to pay their federal taxes. President and CEO, Ed Braswell stated, "Customer feedback drives our changes and innovations at www.pay1040.com and we've answered them for 2005 with every convenience requested. This website is not just for balance due tax payments anymore."

Automatic Monthly Recurring Payments

The PAY1040.com(R) Automatic Monthly Recurring Payment program was developed to help taxpayers make monthly Federal Installment Agreement payments by charging their card based on the month and day selected.

While making a payment, the taxpayer will be provided the option to set-up automatic monthly recurring federal tax payments. Each month on the day specified, the card will be charged and an email sent as confirmation that the federal tax payment was completed.

More information regarding the Recurring Payment Program is available at www.pay1040.com/recurring.aspx.

Reminder Email Notifications

The PAY1040.com Reminder Email Notification program will prompt taxpayers when it is time to make their next Federal Installment Agreement or Estimated Tax payment.

While making an Installment Agreement or Estimated Tax payment on www.pay1040.com, the taxpayer will be given the option to receive future reminder email notifications prior to the next payment due date. The email will include a link to PAY1040.com's Quick Pay page where payments will be processed through a shortened payment process, saving our customers time and effort.

More information regarding the Recurring Payment Program is available at www.pay1040.com/reminder.aspx.

"We not only look for ways to improve our processes, we implement new elements that expand our offerings and make our customers' lives a little easier. Convenience. We wanted to give taxpayers a one-stop location for paying taxes, earning rewards on their credit cards, and finding a tax filing product. I believe we've done those things this year," said Braswell.
