Slyder Slides from PC to Phones: Mobliss and Sandlot Games Bring Popular Puzzler to New Mobile Audiences; Major US carriers snap up the catchy just-released multilevel maze craze

SEATTLE & BOTHELL, Wash. --(Business Wire)-- June 21, 2005 -- Delivering new easy-to-play and impossible-to-put-down mobile entertainment, Mobliss and Sandlot Games today announced the delivery of the classic PC puzzler, Slyder(TM), to top US carriers. With simple thumbpad game play and more than 150 unique levels of addictive labyrinth-esque challenges, Slyder is the quintessential casual game for mobile audiences. The hit PC title was created by Sandlot Games and the mobile version joins the growing ranks of popular games now published by Mobliss.

"Many mobile users don't realize they're carrying a gaming machine in their pocket," said Brent Brookler, president of games and entertainment at Mobliss. "It's fun to play, easy to learn and infinitely challenging. Slyder is the perfect game for introducing new casual gamers to games on their mobile phones."

"Slyder is an already established name in the world of downloadable PC games," said Daniel Bernstein, CEO and president of Sandlot Games. "Planning for widespread access on both J2ME and BREW phones, we're excited to be working with Mobliss and Dhruva to take the popular Slyder name to new mobile audiences."

"Slyder is an extremely engrossing and highly entertaining mobile game. We are delighted that this game will now be available to mobile users in the US," said Rajesh Rao, CEO of Dhruva Interactive, the developers of the mobile version of Slyder.

To advance from level to level, players must guide the adorable, blue ball-shaped "Slyder" through a series of mazes by using their phone's directional arrow keys. Just press the thumbpad in one direction and Slyder is off and running. But be careful. Once Slyder starts moving he will continue in that direction until he is stopped by an obstacle or the edge of the maze. Along the way, the gooey little hero is assisted by friends (the sociable Boffo), is challenged by angry enemies (bright red fang-toothed Ungers) and must avoid dozens of hazardous obstacles such as pits and vats.

Slyder has two game play modes - Puzzle and Tilt-A-Thon - allowing players to choose between maneuvering through a series of increasingly tricky levels on one of three difficulty settings or progressing through a set number of mazes with the least number of moves possible. Providing hours of entertainment for both casual and advanced gamers alike, the engrossing new mobile title is currently available for a $2.99 monthly subscription on Sprint and will be quickly rolling out to additional carriers nationwide.
