Netcell Revolution Storage Processor Passes American Megatrends' AMIBIOS(R) Validation

SAN JOSE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- July 6, 2005 -- Netcell(R) Corporation, the technology leader in storage processing, and American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leading provider of BIOS, storage and computing innovations worldwide, today announced AMIBIOS(R) firmware validation for storage accelerator cards powered by the Netcell Revolution storage processor.

"It is our goal to provide users of the Netcell Revolution storage processor a stable and reliable environment when used in conjunction with advanced AMIBIOS(R) technology," said Terry Allen, marketing communications manager for AMI. "We have also been working with Netcell to validate and ensure compatibility with the AMI Olympus II, Olympus III and Olympus IV motherboards."

AMIBIOS8(TM), the latest version of AMIBIOS(R), incorporates the proven reliability of previous releases and support for the latest technology. AMIBIOS8(TM)'s modular BIOS architecture easily allows support for new technologies to be added to any project. This architecture separates hardware support from technology support, allowing more code to be reused from project to project. Combining this concept with the Visual eBIOS development environment for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) reduces the effort required for BIOS development.

"Getting the Revolution storage processor tested in AMI's validation test lab and into the AMI firmware validation test plan is very important to Netcell to ensure maximum compatibility with motherboards before reaching users," said Oliver Baltuch, senior director of marketing for Netcell Corporation. "The level of support and attention that AMI provides is top-notch and we look forward to working closely with AMI on next-generation technologies."

The Netcell Revolution storage processor powers the XFX Revo64 storage accelerator card and is available worldwide from XFX and its distributors.
