Leading Caribbean Mobile Telecom Standardizes on CA's Intelligent Storage Management Solutions

ISLANDIA, N.Y. and COURBEVOIE, France, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Computer Associates International, Inc. today announced that Caribbean mobile telecom provider Orange Caraibe has standardized on CA's BrightStor intelligent storage management solutions to reduce its IT operations costs while providing continuous, high-quality service to its 570,000 customers.

Orange Caraibe has implemented BrightStor Storage Resource Manager, BrightStor SAN Manager, BrightStor SAN Designer and BrightStor ARCserve Backup to centrally manage and protect critical data across Windows, NetWare, UNIX and Linux systems located in Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana. The company has reduced backup windows by half and optimized availability of all critical business systems.
Orange Caraibe decided to implement BrightStor after consolidating all of its data on a SAN infrastructure. BrightStor was selected because it provided the simplest and most comprehensive solution for SAN management. It also offered the most dependable and efficient data protection.
