Realm Systems Appoints Frank Artale as Chairman; David Mimran Joins Board as Director


SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Realm Systems, Inc. today announced that Frank Artale, a former Microsoft, Veritas, and HP executive, has been appointed chairman of the board. In addition, a New York based financier, David Mimran, joins the board as director.
"Realm has developed technology that will truly revolutionize network computing," said Mr. Artale. "I am excited to join the Realm team as we begin the realization of the potential for this new platform. I would also like to welcome David to the board. David has a wealth of experience in finance and business that will make him a valuable asset moving forward."
Frank Artale was founder of Consera Software, a technology venture acquired by Hewlett-Packard in February of 2004. Frank also served as Vice President of the Windows Solutions Group at VERITAS. During his nine years at Microsoft he held a variety of senior management positions that were focused on product development and sales including General Manager of the Windows 2000 group and Director of Program Management for Windows NT 4.0.

The board's new member, David Mimran, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Milestone International Partners, LLC. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of C.B.A.O., a West African banking group. In addition, Mr. Mimran serves on the boards of Eurafrique, Sometra, and Cavpa, all part of an international food processing, grain trading and shipping conglomerate. He is a member of the Board of the Archer Daniels Midland Company and Ample Communications, Inc. Mr. Mimran recently participated in Realm's Series A round for $8.5 million led by GMG Capital.
