Bob Cohn, Octel Co-Founder, Named Chairman of Board of Adomo Inc.SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Adomo Inc., provider of a new generation of enterprise voice messaging, today announced the completion of its 5-member Board of Directors, with the addition of Octel co-founder Bob Cohn. Kim Fennell, an early executive at Octel Communications Corporation, established and ran several divisions in succession including Octel Canada, Octel Europe and then International Operations. He became President of the Octel Messaging Division of Lucent Technologies in 1999. Mr. Fennell was subsequently a corporate vice president at Lucent, with responsibility for the Communications Applications Group, a $2 billion business unit focused on messaging and CRM. He then helped spin-off Avaya from Lucent in 2000 and became a member of the Avaya executive team. He is currently president and CEO of Telcontar, a worldwide software platform provider for location-based solutions for Internet, wireless and in-vehicle applications. Steve Douty is a 25-year veteran of the technology industry. Mr. Douty was Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Business Development at Hotmail, one of the major Internet success stories. He helped grow the Hotmail customer base to five million in one year and co-led the sale of the company to Microsoft. Following the acquisition, Mr. Douty was responsible for media programming, product planning, and network productions for MSN. He built his staff to more than 75 professionals in less than six months and was key in the conversion of MSN to a Web portal. In 1999, Mr. Douty left Microsoft to co- found and become CEO of Octopus. Prior to Hotmail, Mr. Douty was Vice President of Marketing for Tricord systems, then a maker of high-end server- based networking solutions. He has also held a number of sales, marketing, and management positions with GTE Telenet, IBM, and AT&T Paradyne. Mr. Douty is currently the founder and CEO of SnapJot, Inc. (http://www.snapjot.com/), a collaborative Internet service that lets groups create multimedia stories about shared experiences. Doug Carlisle, Managing Director of Menlo Ventures, was one of the early investors in Octel Communications Corporation. At Menlo Ventures for more than twenty years, he now focuses primarily on early-stage technology companies.
