Questcon Technologies Closes 2005 with Record Customer Growth and Financial Success; Significant Customer Achievements and Enhanced Services Increase Financial Performance and Demonstrate Industry Momentum

GREENSBORO, N.C. --(Business Wire)-- Dec. 19, 2005 -- Validating its commitment to provide the best services and support, Questcon Technologies, a premier provider of innovative software Quality Assurance (QA) and process improvement solutions and a division of Howard Systems International, Inc. (HSI), today announced significant milestones achieved in 2005. The milestones include customer momentum with both new and repeat clients and an enhanced service offering adding value with test automation tool expertise, new training and strategic partnerships.

Having worked with hundreds of customers, Questcon has clearly demonstrated its excellence implementing successful changes within firms. The company has added 12 new customers to its list of clients that rely on Questcon to help increase application quality and performance through improved software QA and process improvement. Gaining significant traction in the financial services, healthcare services and manufacturing industries, Questcon signed new engagements with SoftPro, Misys Healthcare Systems and Adeptra. As a testament to the strength of Questcon's process improvement service offerings, six existing customers signed on for additional projects, including PHH Mortgage, Pitney Bowes, The Newport Group and AgFirst Farm Credit. Questcon has also expanded its customer base to include more software product companies in addition to its traditional mainstay of customers developing software for internal use.

"We're excited to see an increased momentum in companies looking to improve their products through software QA and testing," said Chris Laney, vice president of sales for Questcon. "This validates that companies are taking software quality seriously and leveraging it to provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace."

To complement its expertise, Questcon continued to maintain active relationships with leading automation test tool manufacturers Mercury, Segue Software and IBM Rational, and added a new partnership with Compuware. Of Questcon's core staff, 50 percent now hold Mercury certifications, including two Certified Instructors, who bring their real world QA and testing expertise to Mercury classroom instruction. The company has also forged strategic partnerships with software performance companies SPAN Technologies, PowerTest and Sky IT.

As a leader in software QA and process improvement, Questcon maintains its excellence by continuing to offer cutting-edge services and support including extensive expertise in test automation tools to its customer base. The company created and delivered two new training classes this year, Intro to Requirements Management and Test Management Methodology, to address recent industry issues. In addition, Questcon developed a Web portal containing pertinent information and insight concerning best practices for software QA and process improvement which can be accessed at www.journal.Questcon.us.

Howard Persky, president, Howard Systems International, said, "Companies continue to turn to Questcon as they look to integrate products, tools and services in an increasingly complex environment. Questcon's ability to bridge this gap has allowed the company to maintain healthy revenue growth and continually prove itself as a viable business." Persky continued, "This has prompted HSI to further invest in Questcon to allow the company to continue to build upon its leadership position in the marketplace into 2006 and beyond."
