Tyler M. Dylan named Cardium's executive VP, chief business officer, and general counsel(Gene Therapy Weekly) 2005 DEC 15 - (NewsRx.com) -- Cardium Therapeutics, Inc., and its parent Aries Ventures, Inc., announced the appointment of Tyler M. Dylan, PhD, JD, as executive vice president, chief business officer, and general counsel. Under the appointment, which was effective as of October 20, 2005, when Cardium Therapeutics merged with a specially formed subsidiary of Aries Ventures, he will also serve as corporate secretary of both Cardium Therapeutics and Aries Ventures. Dylan has more than 15 years of experience in legal and transactional matters related to the development of biological products, including more than 7 years focused on the development of cardiovascular growth factor therapeutics. Christopher J. Reinhard, chairman and CEO of Cardium Therapeutics and Aries Ventures, stated, "Tyler and I worked together at Collateral Therapeutics for over a half decade. During that time, Tyler played an important role in advancing Collateral's intellectual property position and corporate development activities, which led to Schering, AG's, acquisition of Collateral in 2002. Subsequently, Tyler and I cofounded Cardium Therapeutics and I look forward to working with him as we seek to accelerate the commercial development of our lead product candidate, Generx, and our other programs."
