Reveal Imaging Technologies Receives Department of Homeland Security SAFETY ACT Certification; DHS approves CT-80 as anti-terrorism technology.

BEDFORD, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Dec. 12, 2005 -- Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc., a developer of advanced security inspection systems, announced today that the Reveal CT-80 is the first Explosive Detection System (EDS) to be certified as an approved product for Homeland Security under the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act). The Reveal CT-80 is deployed at U.S. and international airports to meet the TSA standard to automatically inspect 100% of checked baggage for explosives.

The aim of the SAFETY Act is to encourage the development and deployment of anti-terrorism technologies that will substantially enhance the protection of the nation by limiting the liability of effective technologies aimed at preventing, detecting, or deterring acts of terrorism. Specifically, the Act creates certain liability limitations for "claims arising out of, relating to, or resulting from an act of terrorism" where qualified anti-terrorism technologies have been deployed.

The extremely rigorous and comprehensive process for obtaining SAFETY Act certification is conducted by a panel of experts employed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS determined that the CT-80 satisfies the criteria set forth in the SAFETY Act's regulations after completing a thorough analysis and review.

"Obtaining SAFETY Act coverage underscores the importance of the CT-80 in the United States Government's war on terrorism." said Michael Ellenbogen, president and CEO of Reveal Imaging Technologies. "The Department of Homeland Security was very thorough and helpful in working with Reveal to ensure a complete understanding of the SAFETY Act requirements."
