PacificNet's Subsidiary Clickcom Signs Up China Mobile for New MMS Blog Service

GUANGZHOU, China --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 30, 2005 -- PacificNet Inc. (Nasdaq:PACT), a leading provider of value-added telecom services (VAS) in China, announced today that its subsidiary, PacificNet Clickcom, has reached an agreement with China Mobile's (NYSE:CHL) Guangdong branch to launch a new value-added service called "MMS Blog", through which mobile users can send their pictures taken by mobile phones to WAP websites. China Mobile is a leading provider of mobile communications in the country. Guangdong is one of the largest and most affluent provinces in China and represents a significant opportunity for PacificNet to offer value-added telecom services.

According to recent statistics announced by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII), China has about 402 million mobile users, out of which 30 million have camera-enabled phones. Young adults, who possess mobile phones with such a function, often upload the pictures taken to their favorite Blog sites and share with friends. The Blog service on the internet has become one of the most popular services used by young mobile users in China, who enjoy expressing themselves via Blog. Based on such growing market demands, Clickcom launched this brand new service with integrated features of multi-media message service (MMS) and Blog. Users can upload their favorite pictures to the WAP sites using MMS to share with others, through a service which costs RMB 1 per use.

David Wen, General Manager of PacificNet Clickcom stated, "We are delighted to work with China Mobile in launching this MMS Blog service. We will continue to make great use of our mobile application development expertise to provide innovative and competitive value added services to capture the growing demand of young mobile users in China."
