The advanced networking features -- especially important at the enterprise level -- enable port aggregation/trunking (corresponding to 802.3AD), VLAN (virtual LAN) tagging, jumbo frames and IPV6 (Internet Protocol version 6). These features benefit customers by providing ease of network management, basic network security, and investment protection as the industry migrates to an expanded IP addressing methodology.
