'VoIP Developer Week':TMC Salutes World’s Communications Developer Community

Declares VoIP Developer Week to Coincide with VoIP Developer Conference in San Francisco

S. San Francisco, CA [August 3, 2005] - TMC, the world's leading communications and technology media company, is saluting developers of next-generation communications networks by declaring this VoIP Developer Week.

It is no secret that products like Skype and TelTel have changed the way the world communicates. How many more millions of people are able to speak with loved ones today because telephony is cheaper than ever? According to TMC President Rich Tehrani, VoIP and the innovative developers who have harnessed this technology to provide us with next generation products and services have combined to make the world a smaller, more tightly connected place.

"We live in a world where VoIP developers have toiled tirelessly to develop items like a bicycle-powered VoIP system that enables people in remote villages in third-world countries to communicate via telephone with others. VoIP developers from those that design products like Skype to the Vonage network should be commended for their tireless effort that results in a world where people are able to communicate with one another more effectively. IP Communications developers are on the forefront of the telecom market. They a rare breed of individual who as a whole work together for the betterment of society."

Tehrani continued, "We declare this VoIP developer week to commemorate the legions of new developers churning out the products and services that millions more people will use tomorrow. Without these developers, we cannot expect the rapid pace of innovation to continue. The first phase of VoIP has lowered cost communications but the next phase will be adding really amazing services to communications networks that people will use and gladly pay for."

VoIP Developer Week coincides with TMC's second annual VoIP Developer Conference (www.voipdeveloper.com) being held this week in San Francisco, California. The show attracts the world's leading IP communications developers who have traveled from around the globe to participate in this event. Over 1,000 people have registered for the event already and the final attendance is expected to double that of the prior year.

According to Mike Genaro, TMC VP of Marketing, "We launched this show to give the VoIP development community a centralized location where they could come together and learn from one another and meet with partners in order to more rapidly deploy VoIP products and service."

Registration for the VoIP Developer Conference is now open. Anyone interested may register by visiting http://www.voipdeveloper.com.
