Gallagher Group Expands Client Base with Two Hot Start Ups; Links Forces with Industry Veteran Peter Dave'

DANVILLE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- April 25, 2005 -- Gallagher Group Communications (GGC), a full-service public relations agency serving high technology clients, today announced the addition of two new clients, ConSentry Networks and Matisse Networks. The former founder and principal of Gallagher PR, GGC Managing Partner Kevin Gallagher, also announced that 21-year industry veteran, Peter Dave', has joined forces as account director and senior strategist. Other key GGC clients include Silicon Valley's fastest growing privately held company Peribit Networks (www.peribit.com), as well as Mahi Networks (www.mahinetworks.com), Chordiant Software (www.chordiant.com) and Haliplex Communication Systems (www.haliplex.com).

Milpitas, CA-based ConSentry Networks (www.consentry.com) is a stealth-mode start up, which is focusing on the enterprise security space. An Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital-backed venture, ConSentry Networks boasts an executive management pedigree that includes Chairman Jeff Prince, co-founder of Foundry Networks and CEO Tom Barsi, co-founder of VINA Technologies.

Based in Mountain View, CA, Matisse Networks (www.matissenetworks.com) is a stealth-mode start-up developing an entirely new approach to building enterprise networks leveraging optical technology to deliver unprecedented levels of bandwidth and reliability for data centers and campus environments. The company is headed by Silicon Valley luminary Sam Mathan who previously enjoyed spectacular successes with Amber Networks and Ascend Communications.

Dave' (pronounced "dah-vay"), 50, has a broad range of experience directing communications programs for such clients as Vermeer Technologies (acquired by Microsoft), Network Appliance (from pre-IPO to a market capitalization exceeding $3 billion), Alteon Networks (acquired by Nortel for nearly $8 billion), WebLogic (acquired by BEA Systems), Intraware (from pre-IPO to a market capitalization exceeding $1 billion), Novell, Xerox, Synoptics, Digital Equipment, and dozens more. Prior to joining GGC, he was managing partner of Dave' and Bairey Communications LLC, and has also held senior management positions at Regis McKenna, Inc., and Ketchum Communications.

"The 'bait-and-switch' approach and days of servicing accounts with junior people are well behind us," Gallagher said. "By combining forces with another veteran who understands how to raise the visibility and credibility index of new and emerging companies, GGC is extraordinarily well positioned to service Silicon Valley's next generation of superstars. We pride ourselves as an organization that provides hands-on principal-level services -- combining both strategic and tactical support capabilities that our clients have come to expect. And we're using this model to secure promising start-ups with a good deal of potential and very high expectations."
