The e-Jikei project, established by Gunma University for improving community security, will install an outdoor HotPort high performance video mesh network with surveillance cameras for visitor inspection and intruder detection at parks in Kiryu City, Gunma prefecture, Japan. Internet based digital cameras will be installed at entrance gates of parks and outdoor recreation facilities in Kiryu City, with video monitoring and motion detection systems operating on PCs in the administration office. The connections between the surveillance cameras and PCs will be through a HotPort wireless mesh network.
