Six Fairfax County-Based Companies Make 2005 Fortune 500 List; County Ties Maryland for Number of Ranked Firms
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. --(Business Wire)-- April 5, 2005 -- Six Fairfax County-based companies are on Fortune magazine's 2005 list of the largest publicly traded companies in America. The six are the same Fairfax County companies named to the Fortune list in 2004.
Fortune bases its rankings on annual revenue. Eighteen Virginia-based companies made the 2005 list, as did six companies from Maryland and two from Washington, D.C.

The FCEDA assists businesses by identifying possible sites and facilities, and provides demographic and economic statistics.
