WALTHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 26, 2005 -- Phase Forward (NASDAQ: PFWD), a leading provider of data management solutions for clinical trials and drug safety, today announced that it has been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 program. A ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the New England region area based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2000-2004, Phase Forward achieved the 27th position in Deloitte's listing.

In July, Phase Forward announced a joint offering with SAS(R) Drug Development to streamline work processes for enterprise level implementation across the drug development continuum. In August, the company completed the acquisition of Lincoln Technologies, which adds pharmacovigilance, data standardization, and safety signal detection technology to the company's current solutions.

"Phase Forward's success can be attributed to our superior technology offering, commitment from our valued customer base, and the 400 outstanding people who make up our team," said Bob Weiler, president and chief executive officer of Phase Forward. "Recognition by Deloitte as one of New England's fastest growing companies underscores the long-term sustainability and broad market acceptance of our solutions. We are pleased to have secured our ranking and honored to be among such a successful group of growing technology companies in New England."

Winners of the 15 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
