Handmark(R) Partners with Tele Atlas for Wireless Services Map Data
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Handmark(R), a global leader in mobile media, today announced that they have signed an agreement with Tele Atlas, a leading provider of digital map data and other geographic content, under which Tele Atlas' map data will be integrated into Handmark mobile services.
The first Handmark implementation of Tele Atlas map data will be in the award-winning Pocket Express(TM) wireless news and information bundle. Pocket Express Maps can find any street address in the U.S. and Canada and provide turn-by-turn driving directions between two addresses. Pocket Express Directories can find a Person, Neighbor, or Business and map the location for the listing. The Pocket Express service is available for a variety of wireless capable devices including Palm(R) wireless PDAs and the Treo(TM) smartphone, Windows Mobile(TM) Pocket PCs and smartphones, RIM BlackBerry(TM), and color "feature phones" from all major U.S. Carriers.
