RemotePipes, Inc. Counters Verizon Wireless BroadbandAccess CDMA EVDO Price Decrease With 27% Price Decrease for IP Roamer Global WiFi Internet Access

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- RemotePipes, Inc., a leading provider of worldwide mobile Internet access solutions, is formally announcing a 27% price decrease for its IP Roamer branded service pricing for all Wi-Fi connections in the US and internationally.

With recently completed expansions of the IP Roamer network, a customer can now get WiFi wireless broadband Internet access as low as 9 cents a minute on a pay as you go basis in 45 countries. Even the highest business rates of 19 cents to 22 cents per minute, for WiFi connections in premium locations such as International airports, are extremely cost effective compared to most international data rate plans which can charge over $1.00 per minute.
RemotePipes IP Roamer vs. Verizon Wireless BroadbandAccess
The IP Roamer branded wireless broadband Internet access offering includes Wi-Fi coverage at more than 15,000 hot spots. The service also includes 100% geographic coverage, via 800 and 0800 toll free countrywide access numbers, in nine countries including the US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, France, and New Zealand; as well as strong coverage in 130 countries. Based upon coverage alone, the IP Roamer service is also a very complementary backup solution for the Verizon BroadbandAccess service.
A detailed comparison of the RemotePipes IP Roamer branded service vs. the Verizon BroadbandAccess branded service is on the web at http://www.remotepipes.net/verizon_evdo_comparison_to_IP_Roamer.asp .
The IP Roamer rate plans for wireless broadband, on a pay as you go basis with no monthly subscription fees, no long term contracts, and no setup charges or data cards to purchase, are very cost effective vs. the Verizon BroadbandAccess rate plans. Rates for wireless broadband are as low as 9 cents per minute and rates for dialup access are under a penny per minute for local access and under 4 cents per minute for toll free 800 access for the 48 contiguous states in the US. Canadian toll free 800 dialup is as low as 8 cents per minute.
Doug Bonestroo, CEO of RemotePipes, remarked, "We have been talking to prospective customers and existing customers and we know that there is a big demand in the market for wireless broadband services billed by the minute on a pay as you go basis. Not everyone wants to sign a one or two year contract and pay hefty monthly fees just so that they can connect to the Internet while traveling, when there are other effective alternatives. We acknowledge that the Verizon BroadbandAccess service is very appealing to certain users and we hope to partner with one or more carriers that can provide us with EVDO access on a wholesale basis."
